DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The base bid work includes, but is not limited to, removal of all asphalt courses, removal of all base/subgrade/shoulder materials to the depths required, hauling of material to storage site/disposal sites, compact subgrade, place and compact base with salvaged base and asphalt millings, place and compact new hot mix asphalt (HMA) courses, place and compact aggregate/topsoil shoulders with new and salvaged materials, seed, place new pavement markings, and incidental related work according to the drawing and specifications. Transitions to existing pavements includes, but is not limited to, milling, saw-cut edges, placing tack coats, crack sealing, and pavement patching. The realignment of the road just south of the concrete spillway also includes, but is not limited to, placement of rock fill and CMT culverts. Option A work includes, but is not limited to, prepare existing aggregate base, place new HMA pavement courses, place new HMA overlays, place new shoulder material, seed, milling, saw-cut edges, tack coat, crack seal, pavement patching, pavement markings, and incidental related work according to the drawings. Option B work includes, but is not limited to, removal of all asphalt courses, removal of aggregate base/shoulders for proper grades, hauling of material to storage site/disposal site, cement base stabilization, millings, place and compact new HMA courses, place new HMA overlays, place and compact aggregate/topsoil shoulders with new and salvaged materials, saw-cut edges, tack coat, crack seal, pavement patching, seed, place new pavement markings, and incidental related work according to the drawings. Option C work includes, but is not limited to, removal of all asphalt courses, removal of all base/subgrade/shoulder materials to the depths required, hauling of material to storage site/disposal sites, compact subgrade, place and compact base with salvaged base and asphalt millings, place and compact new HMA courses, HMA overlays, new aggregate/topsoil shoulders with new and salvaged materials, saw-cut edges, tack coat, crack seal, pavement patching, removal of concrete, placement of concrete, seed, place new pavement markings, and incidental related work according to the drawings. Option D work includes, but is not limited to, removal of all asphalt courses, removal of all base/subgrade/shoulder materials to the depths required, hauling of material to storage site/disposal sites, compact subgrade, place and compact base with salvaged base and asphalt millings, place and compact new HMA courses, new aggregate/topsoil shoulders with new and salvaged materials, saw-cut edges, tack coat, crack seal, seed, place new pavement markings, and incidental related work according to the drawings.
