Description
THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE IS EXTENDED TO 8 JUN 2010, 3:00 PM LOCAL TIME. THE NAICS CODE IS CHANGED TO READ 238220. SET-ASIDE: NONE. THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: Work under this contract includes constructing a waste water disposal system, replace water heaters, fixtures and construct new water treatment system, to produce potable water by removing contaminants below the level specified, at the National Black-Footed Ferret Conservation Center. JOB CONDITIONS: Using water test results conducted by the NBFFCC as a baseline sample and test the water from the existing domestic well to verify the types and levels of contaminants that are making the water unsuitable for consumption and domestic use. Determine a method of removal for each of the identified contaminants and the type of equipment required for each method. Design a layout for all items of equipment, integrated with the existing domestic water system for a functional and efficient operation, minimizing power use and the percentage of water wasted in the production of useable water. Indicate the final water quality which the system can be expected to produce. The system shall be capable of operating at a minimum treatment rate of 12 gallons per minute.LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE: The National Black-Footed Ferret Conservation Center is located at 19180 Frontage Road, Carr, Colorado; approximately one mile north of the Buckeye Exit on Interstate Highway 25. Six buildings, including one residence located on-site, require potable water for staff and animal-related activities. Contractors are urged to visit the site and become familiar with existing conditions. Your attention is invited to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government.
