- Description
- This project consists of reconstructing approximately 5.22 miles of Crooked Creek Road #2085 and reconditioning approximately 1.74 miles of Crooked Creek Road #2085. Work includes staking, clearing & grubbing, excavation and embankment, surfacing, cattleguard installation, erosion control measures, culvert removal and replacement, gate removal, repair and reinstall, hydroseeding and mulching, traffic control, and various other items related to the road work on Crooked Creek Road #2085. No excavation work shall be done at Gooseberry Hollow and Bridge Hollow. These limits shall be located by the COR. Contractor shall field survey and stake all culverts prior to ordering materials. Contractor shall submit a culvert sheet with station, diameter, and length of culvert to be installed. Roadway reconditioning includes reconditioning the ditch along the entire 1.74 miles. Possible Additive Item consists of Spot Surfacing to be staked by the COR. Project Location. Crooked Creek Road #2085 is located in the Pryor Mountains of the Beartooth Ranger District, Custer National Forest. The project begins at the BLM boundary and proceeds northerly for approximately 6.96 miles to Mill Hollow. Price Range. Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 Pre-Bid Tour. A pre-bid tour will be conducted on July 21st, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interested parties wishing to attend must call the Contracting Officer by noon on July 20th, 2010 at 406-587-6774. Bidders are encouraged to visit the sites. Persons interested in viewing the project on their own may obtain directional information from the District Office in Red Lodge, MT, telephone (406) 446-2103. Start Work – It is estimated work will begin in September, 2010. Period of Performance – Work is to be completed by September 15, 2011 with the exception of Seeding, which shall be completed during the seeding season. It is anticipated the solicitation and all bidding materials will be available the first week in July 2010 on the FBO website.
