- APBI ANNOUNCEMENT This announcement is released by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), Eatontown, NJ to notify industry of an upcoming Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI). This APBI will be a one day event on June 22, 2010, and will run from 8 am to 5 pm. The doors will open at 7 am for registration and networking. The event is being held at the Sheraton Hotel, Eatontown, NJ. The objective of this APBI is to brief industry on future acquisition opportunities from the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T). The APBI will feature an overview on source selection procedures, a presentation on the new VA Innovation Initiative (i2) Program, an update on the 13 Challenges and also an outline of upcoming OI&T acquisitions for 4th Quarter FY 2010 and FY 2011. Companies of all sizes are invited, but you must be registered to attend, and attendance is limited to two people per company. Registration will be limited by room size on a first-come first-serve basis. However, all information (briefings, Q&A, attendee list) will be posted to the following site for those that cannot attend: http://www1.va.gov/oamm/oa/tac/ Registration will open on May 24, 2010, and close on June 11, 2010. To register, please complete the registration form Excel worksheet, posted on the FEDBIZOPPS or the site indicated above, and Email the completed spreadsheet to APBI@va.gov. NOTE: Please be sure to identify the company status based on a size standard of $25M, utilizing the drop-down feature of the spreadsheet in columns D through J (select all that apply). You will receive an email confirming your attendance. If you do not receive notification receipt within 3 business days, please resend your registration information indicating this as a second request in the subject line. The TAC has assigned a reference number of VA118-10-RI-0237 to this event. This number is for informational purposes only and any further updates related to this event may be accessed under this number. The number is not related to a solicitation.
