- The Coastal and Global Scale Nodes (CGSN) Implementing Organization of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) plans to solicit proposals for the development of an Open Ocean Winched Profiler. The requirement for the equipment may differ from commercially-available equipment. The selected firm may perform design and development, first article construction and testing, and construction and testing of production units. CGSN is seeking firms who are interested in submitting a proposal for the Open Ocean Winched Profiler. Parties interested in receiving the Request for Proposal documentation for this procurement should contact Mr. Dennis Fox, Director of Procurement at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution by email (dfox@whoi.edu) not later than 5:00 PM EDT on May 27, 2010. Please reference Announcement of Opportunity OOIFBO-0001, Open Ocean Winched Profiler and provide a physical mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address for a contact person. Qualified parties will be provided the RFP documentation. CGSN and OOI are constructing an Ocean Observing System under a Cooperative Agreement with the National Science Foundation.
