- Pre-solicitation Notice W9127S-10-B-0018: This solicitation will be advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors). The small business size standard is $14 million. The solicitation is for a firm fixed priced construction contract. Contractors are to perform all work required to install one fully functional fire alarm and detection system at the Bull Shoals Powerhouse and one fully functional fire alarm and detection system at the Dardanelle Powerhouse. The work includes installing control panels, detectors, notification devices; connecting to powerhouse annunciation & HVAC systems; and all conduits, cables, and raceways at both powerhouses; and maintenance training of the fire detection system. Solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR 14. This solicitation will be issued via Internet only at the Armys Single Face to Industry Website (ASFI) or the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) Website on or about May 26, 2010. It is each offerors responsibility to download the solicitation from the internet website. No paper copies will be provided. Notification of amendments shall be made via the Internet as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the ASFI or FBO website daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/solicitation_search_form.cfm or www.fbo.gov and search for Solicitation Number W9127S-10-B-0018.
