- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Thales USA Defense and Security Inc., located in Seattle, Washington. The Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) Contractor Logistic Services (CLS) contract will provide Naval Air Systems Command - Lakehurst (NAVAIR-LKE) and Naval Inventory Control Point – Philadelphia (NAVICP-P) with repairs to Ready for Issue (RFI) condition, purchases of spares and consumables, and provide warehousing and logistics services of the H-1 Aircraft Optimized Top Owl (OTO) Helmet Mounted Sight and Display (HMSD) assets. This contract will also provide Repair of Repairables (ROR) services for interim repairable components for installation of significant Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE), which includes inspection, repair, reassembly, calibration, and testing of all interim repairable components. It is anticipated that this contract will be a base year with four one year options for a total of five (5) years period of performance. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Reasonable Source”. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. Any firm that believes they can satisfy the Government’s requirements are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for the subject items. A determination not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Numbered Notes 9 and 22 apply to this procurement.
