- The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) intends to award a sole source purchase order to MCI Communications Services, Inc., 1945 Old Gallows Road, Vienna, VA for the procurement of COMPASS International 2Mb Satellite Line Monthly Maintenance. Naval Supply Systems Activity (NAVSISA) and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) each contract for half of these services (NAVSISA from Mechanicsburg to the MCI satellite and the RSNF from the satellite to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The RSNF chooses MCI Communications as the vendor for their half making it the only vendor capable of fulfilling this requirement, as both portions must be with the same vendor. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded.
