- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. IT IS A MARKET RESEARCH TOOL (FAR PART 10) BEING USED TO DETERMINE POTENTIAL FIRMS CAPABLE OF PROVIDING THE SERVICES DESCRIBED HEREIN PRIOR TO DETERMINING THE METHOD OF ACQUISITION. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center is seeking sources with the capabilities to provide Heavy Lift Rotary Wing Airlift maintenance and support services at Fort Hood, Texas. This requirement is in support of the units, activities, and tenants assigned to III Corps at Fort Hood. This support includes units of the Air Force, Army, Reserves, National Guard, Dutch Air Force, and Department of the Army civilian workforce located in the Army Regulation 5-9 support area. Place of performance is Fort Hood, Texas. Period of performance is projected as follows: -- Basic Period 1 Jul 2011 30 Jun 2012 -- Option Period I 1 Jul 2012 30 Jun 2013 -- Option Period II 1 Jul 2013 20 Jun 2014 -- Option Period III 1 Jul 2014 30 Jun 2015 -- Option Period IV 1 Jul 2015 30 Jun 2016 Firms interested in performing this requirement may reply to this Sources Sought and shall adhere to/provide the following: (1) Capability Statement (limited to 5 pages in length, singled-spaced, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating the ability to perform the requirement in accordance with the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS), Attachment 1. This statement should specifically describe your firms ability to provide adequate resources to perform the task. This should also include your firms ability to start performance by 1 July 2011. (2) Capacity (limited to 2 pages) to perform in accordance with the PWS on a aviation contract with a rough order of magnitude estimated at $25 to $50 million dollars annually. (3) The attached questionnaire may also be answered in response to this Source Sought annoucement. Attachment 2. The PWS is attached for informational purposes only. No telephone, emailed, nor faxed inquiries will be entertained. All interested parties capable of providing these services are encouraged to respond to this SOURCES SOUGHT announcement via email by submitting their responses to ralph.solomon@us.army.mil or anita.guadiano@us.army.mil by 2 Jun 2010, 1600 CST. The information obtained from industry responses to this notice may be used in the development of the acquisition strategy and future requests for proposals. Please send your response in PDF or MS Word format. Proprietary processes or data must be clearly marked and documented as such. The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to sender.
