- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES AND OBTAIN INDUSTRY COMMENTS ON THE PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT. RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. Travis AFB is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide replacements for worn out C-17 seat covers, headrests for flight crew area's for C-17's. Required delivery and installation must be made by 30 September 2010. Please answer the following questions. 1. If another NAICS and FSC code would better fit this requirement, please provide. 2. Does your company have on-site maintenance and repair training available? 3. What would the unit of issue for services provided be? Would invoicing be monthly, hourly, or by each? 4. Can you provide all or none of the services described? 5. Are there any special features or requirements, warranties, cost/benefit, etc. Responses to this notice should include; company name, address, point of contract, cage code size classifications (HubZone 8(a), 8(a), HubZone, Small, Small Disadvantage and Large Business) relative to the NAICS Code 316110 (500 employees). This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of matthew.gill-02@travis.af.mil by close of business 26 May 2010. This notice is to help TAFB in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If the solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. A response to this sources sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
