- Description
- The Government intends to procure a lease of the receivers in reference to CO2 Receiver Requirements Lease. The purpose of this effort is to lease storage receivers which shall be capable of completely automatic long-term storage of liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) and shall be capable of supplying liquid of gaseous CO2 to other equipment by simply connecting hoses and valves. The receivers shall be capable of being refilled while in use. Environmental issues relative to hazardous content of the tanks necessitates proper maintenance and the ability to obtain a rapid response in emergency cases. Timeliness of maintenance is required in order to prevent or minimize costly test delays associated with temperature conditioning of a test article. AirGas Carbonic is the only know supplier of the stationary and portable receivers in the southeast area of the United States capable of providing the required receivers and associated service. Award to another source in another region of the United States would likely result in additional transportation and travel costs, and result in unacceptable delays in maintenance.
