- Attachment: FA8307-10-R-0042, Repair KIV-119 Crypto ComputerPR# F2MTN70105B001ACQUISITION DESCRIPTION NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION (NOPCA). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.This is a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price repair contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The COMSEC Logistics Division (ZCL) has the requirement to establish a contract to procure repair services for eight (8) each KIV-119 Mode 4 Cryptographic Appliqus, NSN 5810-01-506-6967 CA and P/N: 4079080-0501. The Cryptologic Systems Group (CPSG) intends to make an award to the Raytheon Systems. Based on a Market Research, Raytheon System is identified as the only capable source that can meet the Government's minimum requirement. Raytheon Systems is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and is the only source with the technical expertise, data tooling and unique test fixtures required to repair these items.
