Description
Specification Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-39. The requirement is being solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-aside using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Subpart 13. The NAICS Code 336611 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. The solicitation number is HSCG85-10-Q-P45HU5. A Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following Definitive and optional items is anticipated. There is a onetime Geographic Restriction of 400 Nautical miles one-way 800 Nautical miles round trip from the Cutters homeport of Greenville, MS. Place of Performance: The contractor's facility DESCRIPTION OF WORK (a) The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, services, equipment, power, supplies, accessories, facilities and such other things as are necessary, except as otherwise specified, to perform dry-dock repairs and alterations to the vessel, in accordance with this solicitation and the attached USCGC PATOKA 75 Foot "E Class" River Buoy Tender, Specification, 2010 (REV-0, 12 May 2010) Attached. (b) The dry-dock repairs include, but are not limited to: 3-D Propulsion Shaft Bearings (External), Check Clearances, 4-D Propeller(s) Remove, Inspect, and reinstall, 6-D Dry-Docking-Tender, 7-D Temporary services, Provide, 1-O Propulsion shafting, Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall, 2-O Propulsion Shaft Straighten, 5-O Propeller, Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning. (c) Failure to read the specifications in their entirety will not relieve the quoter from the responsibility for properly estimating the difficulty or price of successfully performing the work. Failure to do so will be at the quoter's risk. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: The contract is expected to be awarded on or about June 1, 2010. Work covered by this solicitation shall be completed within 7 calendar days from the date the vessel becomes available to the contractor.
