Description
The intent of this construction contract is to provide for drainage upgrades for Forest Service Road 41, Tupso Pass Road on the Darrington Ranger District of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. The repair consists of various drainage crossing upgrades by removing existing culverts and replacing with newer right sized culverts. Some sites will require large amounts of earthwork removal and replacing. The project is located on Forest Service Road 41, Tupso Pass Road from Mile Post 3.5 to M.P. 15.0 on the Darrington Ranger District in Township 31N, Range 8E, numerous Sections. To reach the project site, travel 8 miles east of Granite Falls, Washington on the Mountain Loop Hwy (FSR 20) to the intersection of FSR 41. Travel north on FSR 41 approximately 3.5 miles to the beginning of the project. A Darrington Ranger District map showing the road system is available for viewing and/or purchase at the Verlot Public Service Center 11 miles east of Granite Falls, Washington or the Darrington Ranger District office north on Hwy 530 in Darrington, Washington. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about June 1, 2010. The estimated start work date is August 2, 2010. Contract work time is approximately 300 days. The Government's estimated price range is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. The project is 100% set aside for HUBzone small business. Payment security shall be required for this project.
