- The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for the replacement of the main roof (+/-166,700 square feet) of the Rockford IL, Processing Distribution Center project at 5225 Harrison Avenue, Rockford, IL 61125-9997. Incidental work includes resetting HVAC equipment on new curbs and the reinstallation of certain conduits on the parapet walls. Two existing roofs will be removed to the metal deck and a new single ply Thermoplastic Olefin system (TPO) with rigid, tapered polyisocyanurate insulation shall be installed. Also included are new sheet metal copings, gravel stops, counterflashings, area divider covers and expansion joints and covers. Interior debris and dust protection shall be provided during construction. Minority owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $1,750,000 to $2,000,000. Construction completion time will be 75 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. In addition to price, evaluation criteria will be considered. The contractor will be scored and ranked by the following factors. Past Performance (up to 50 points); contractor will be scored on the information submitted that adequately demonstrates successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work. Project Management Plan/Approach: Six factors will be totaled to the potential of 50 points; the project schedule (10 points), Company Organization (10 points), MBE/WBE/DBW subcontracting plan (5 points), quality control plan (10 points), Company’s Expertise & Resources (5 Points) and Safety Plan with experience modification ratio (EMR) (10 points). Supplier Capability will be (Pass/Fail). A pre-proposal conference will be held onsite Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 5225 Harrison Ave, Rockford, IL 61125 @ 1:00 p.m. CDT. Qualification Statements are due on or before Friday, June 4, 2010. Proposal due date is Friday, June 11, 2010 by 3:00 p.m. CST. Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 14, 2010 for a non-refundable cost range of $100.00 to $250.00. The preferred method of payment for the solicitation documents is by credit card. LDI will accept Master Card, Visa, or AMEX.
