- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION #2-QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Question 1: With the revised submittal date, and the requirement for the transition date, we have a question. Is the transition period still 30 days or is it shortened? Answer 1: The solicitation allows for a 30 day transition period from the current contract to the new one. The solicitation also requires prospective contractors to provide a plan in the proposal as part of the technical evaluation. However, the Government's desire is that there be no disruption in service from the current contract that expires on May 31, 2010 to the new one.
