- The US Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division (NCD), on behalf of the Naval Health Research Center, intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Triosyn Corp, for a biocidal medical mask. Triosyn Corp produces an antimicrobial that harnesses the power of iodine by fusing it with a polymer using a patented proprietary process. This creates a solid iodinated antimicrobial that has been proven to rapidly kill microorganisms that cause infections and disease. NHRC has a requirement to test the effectiveness of this antimicrobial medical mask against viruses, bacteria, spores, fungi and protozoa. Triosyn Corp is the only source for the specific antimicrobial mask needed for evaluation. As such, the contract will be awarded to Triosyn Corp. The applicable NAICS Code is 541711 with a size standard of 500 employees.
