Description
The attached statement of work describes the desired end result, which is a system that can inspect the flow of material at the upset mills and divert any defective blanks or planchets from the flow of good work. Since we are not aware of any systems currently on the marketplace that offer the necessary speed and accuracy, we consider this as a research and development effort. The first part of the effort will consist of a feasibility study to determine if the available technologies have a reasonable probability of achieving the end result. Depending upon the outcome of the feasibility study, a decision will be made to either abort the effort, or to proceed to the second level.
