- Description
- The Northeast Fisheries Science Center is seeking quotes for one (1) brand name or equal to vapor steam cleaner as follows: Therma-Kleen model 400 vapor steam cleaner. The steam cleaning system is required to clean large tanks (10'x 15'x 4' deep) in the algal culture greenhouse at the Milford Laboratory, 212 Rogers Ave., Milford, CT. The following minimum requirements must be met: 1) System must operate on 120 volt 20 amp electrical outlet, which is all that is available. 2) Steam hose must be 25' or longer. 3) Spray nozzle and wand must be extendable to at least 6' or longer. 4) The system must be movable by one person, as with a system on wheels. 5) Temperature controlled with a high temperature of at least 380ºF/193ºC. 6) System must have an operating pressure of at least 180 PSI/10.6 Bar. 7) System should be at least 80% dry vapor to clean, sanitize, and disinfect. 8) Appropriate High pressure and low water safety controls must be included. 9) System must be stainless steel, non-contaminating, and non-degrading especially in a greenhouse environment. Novel materials may be considered. In order to comply with debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for an award by the Federal Government. For information regarding CCR please link to the CCR website at www.ccr.gov. The FSC is 3695 and the NAICS is 333319. The government intends to award a firm-fixed priced purchase order for this requirement. Quotes must be either faxed (732-872-3002) or emailed (donna.sanchez@noaa.gov) to Donna Sanchez no later than May 19, 2010. All quotes received by the deadline will be considered.
