- Description
- The purpose of SMD CM I1 program is to develop and field robust medium speed National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 certified cryptographic Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE), End Cryptographic Units (ECUs), Single Component Encryptor/Decryptor (SCED), and Ground Operating Equipment (GOE) ECUs used to secure plain text (PT) mission data for satellite systems. The SMD CM I1 contract is to design, develop, produce, and deliver new NSA Type 1 certified devices with associated support equipment (e.g., special test equipment (STE) and fabrication test equipment) to include training, interim contractor support, studies and analysis, and data rights.
