- Draft Solicitation Introduction This is a request for information only as defined in FAR 15.201(e). No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. No contract shall be awarded from this notice. This request encourages maximum participation by small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of vendors interested in and qualified to perform Technical Support Services for the Maintenance and Repair of Class III Equipment in support of the U.S. Naval Command Training Facilities at the following locations: Dam Neck, VA San Diego, CA Mechanicsburg, PA Corona, CA •(1) Are you interested and capable to perform under the anticipated requirements? •(2) How long will it take to prepare and submit a quotation? •(3) Would you submit a quotation? •(4) If not, why not? The type of solicitation that may be issued may depend upon the results received. The completed contract type anticipated is Firm Fixed Price. The anticipated period of performance is for 12 months from date of award with an anticipated award date within FY2010. Description of Services Technical Support Services for the Maintenance and Repair of Class III Equipment in support of the U.S. Naval Command Training Facilities. A copy of the Draft Solicitation is attached for your review and comments Responses Interested vendors should email answers to questions 1 through 4 above along with any comments to the following: monica.divelbess@gsa.gov Stephen.nichols@gsa.gov All submissions must be sent via email and responses should include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Vendor's full company name. (2) Point of contact's name, email address and telephone number. (3) Socio-economic status under the NAICS codes 561210, 811310, 238220 (e.g., small business, etc.). Comments are encouraged and will be reviewed and considered in our plans. Responses are requested by Friday, 21 May 2010, not later than 4:00 p.m., EST. Interested vendors are reminded that this notice is in compliance with: FAR 15.201(e) RFIs may be used when the Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes. Responses to these notices are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. There is no required format for RFIs.
