- Paving/Sidewalk and Gutters Pre-Bid Conference 5/25/2010 9:00am Woodstock Job Corps Center 10900 Old Court Road Woodstock, MD 21163 Operated by Adams and Associates, Inc. Contractors who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation MUST submit the following by e-mail to Bonsal.Dave@jobcorps.org or by fax to 410-696-9401 for receipt by close of business (5:00PM EST) on May 21, 2010: a positive statement of your intention to submit s bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor: (2) statement of bonding capability, to include single and aggregate totals: and (3) listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amount, and points of contact including phone numbers. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor being considered not interested in this solicitation. Estimated price range is between $100, 000 and $150,000. PLEASE NOTE: The invitation for Bid (solicitation documents) will be available only for bidders who attend the walk-thru at the Woodstock Job Corps Facility scheduled on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 9:00 AM EST. CONSTRUCTION SCOPE OF WORK FOR CENTER EXECUTION AT THE WOODSTOCK JOB CORPS CENTER WOODSTOCK, MARYLAND I. GENERAL The intent of this Scope of Work is to repair existing paved areas, sidewalks and gutters. A more detailed description of the work may be found in Part V - "EXTENT OF WORK" The period of performance for this agreement shall be 60 days from NTP (Notice to Proceed). Security regulations will be in effect at the Center with regard to entry requirements, vehicle licensing, and personnel identification. Weapons, alcoholic beverages or controlled substances shall not be transported to or consumed on Center by Office Supply Company personnel. Fraternization by Vendor employees with Center students is strictly prohibited. Payment will be 30 days net upon PB Dewberry and Center designation of Final Completion NOTE: This Scope will have a base bid with several option bids. II. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS A. CODES 1. The contractor will conform to all applicable state and local codes, ordinances, and regulations including the national building code commonly used in the area. 2. All conflicts and requests for interpretation or clarification shall be submitted to the Woodstock Job Corps Center. 3. All work shall conform to the current regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The regulations of the State of Maryland shall prevail if they are more stringent than those of the Federal Government.
