- RECOVERY—THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ04UA00007. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity was available only to the Education and Training Resources (ETR) under contract number DOLJ04UA00007. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps intends to award a modification in the amount of $833,420 to the Turner Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for CRA, Equipment and CTST on this contract. It would have been impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification was to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to address the following program initiatives: 1) Earth Day Every Day Campaign; 2) To procure Career Technical Skills Training Welding equipment and Driver’s Education Simulator to support additional career technical training opportunities to the students of Turner Job Corps Center; and 3) Address Construction/Rehab (CRA) roofing deficiencies. The operator of the Turner Job Corps Center will procure the services of local construction and service providers, by making these funds available through subcontracting opportunities, following all applicable FAR procurement regulations. This Modification has been awarded on May 10, 2010.
