- The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to expand the chilled water loop for building 7405 on Keesler AFB. Variable frequency drives shall be installed on the four, existing cooling towers at the 7405 central plant allowing the cooling tower motors to more closely operate near the cooling load resulting in an energy savings. Eight existing buildings shall be tied into the loop system and there corresponding air/water cooled chiller shall be tied into the loop or remain used as a backup for the building in case the loop central plant fails. The energy management control system shall be modified to control the loop system components that consume energy so that the components run more closely near the cooling load resulting in an overall more efficient central plant. This acquisition will be a 100% Competitive Hub-Zone Set-Aside with no geographical restrictions, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible Hub-Zone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The size standard is $13 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.eps.gov on/or around 27 May 10 with a tentative closing date of 28 Jun 10. The contract performance period will be 270 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. CCR Registration may be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in CCR in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e., issued Amendments, Changes to the Statement of Work, etc).
