- Description
- NASA/JSC has a requirement for System Administration, Audit, Networking andSecurity (SANS) training with flexible delivery formats and scheduling for May 27, 2010through May 26, 2011. SANS training is required to design, deploy, and maintain securesystems & networks. This training is associated with certifications and accreditationand security products which are owned by the NASA Software Development and IntegrationLaboratory (SDIL) located at the Sonny Carter Training Facility(SCTF). NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from SANS Institute. The SANS Institute is thesole provider of SANS training certifications and is uniquely qualified to meetNASA/JSC's requirement for flexible scheduling and delivery formats.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon May 25, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
