- Correct Dental Clinic Deficiencies Stratton VA Medical Center The Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center (hereafter "The VA" or "VA"), located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to release a competitive Invitation for Bid (IFB) numbered VA-528-10-RA-0117, for a project entitled "Correct Dental Clinic Deficiencies" on or about the week of May 31, 2010. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). The current intention of the VA is to procure these services competitively via a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The applicable NAICS code will be 236220, with an applicable small business size standard of $33.5 Million. The estimated construction value of this project falls within the range of $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, performance and payment bonding will be required to respond to this IFB once released. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The work to be performed under this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. General construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, ASBESTOS ABATEMENT, necessary interior demolition and construction, replacement of windows AND other work depicted on the drawings. B. The project will be occupied during construction and phased in a manner that will allow continued and uninterrupted operation of the dental clinic. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an Invitation for Bids is issued and only by Request for Information (RFI's) The contract resulting from this IFB will be funded with dollars appropriated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The solicitation will contain certain special clauses and provisions which are not a standard part of VA Construction Contracts.
