- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the ARRA of 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. The Forest Service intends to issue a solicitation for this project utilizing FAR Part 14 procedures for Sealed Bidding. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is of the lowest total price that meets technical requirements outlined in the solicitation. Lochsa and North Fork Ranger Districts, Clearwater NF, Idaho County, Idaho. This project consists of asphalt repair with surface preparation and asphalt placement. Work includes skin patch, repair potholes and crack sealing with and without routing. Install corrugated metal pipe, including excavation, removal and disposal of unsuitable material. Chip seal, and asphalt pavement sealcoat. Base Items: All Repair Work on FS Road 100 MP-16.2 to 29.0: and Road 250 MP – 0.0 to 18.2. Option Items: Chip Seal Road 250 MP – 0.0 to 18.2; All Repair Work and Chip Seal: Kamiah Ranger Station; Kooskia Ranger Station and Musselshell Work Center. Estimated start date is June 2010 and complete by October 30, 2010. The estimated price range for this acquisition is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The solicitation will be available on or about May 26, 2010.
