- Description
- This is a 'Sources Sought' notice. The VA National Acquisition Center is issuing Request for Information (RFI) VA-797M-10-RI-0174 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Tucson Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) to identify potential sources for off-site data storage for seven locations: Charleston, SC; Chelmsford, MA; Hines, IL; Lancaster, TX; Leavenworth, KS; Murfreesboro, TN; and Tucson, AZ. The contractor shall provide transportation and storage facilities at each location to accommodate 700 media tapes. Two tapes will be picked up from each facility on a weekly basis to be transported to the off-site storage facility. The tapes will be rotated on a weekly basis and must be capable of being returned within a four hour time frame if needed. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 518210 and the small business size standard is $25 million. One critical element the government will address during this exploratory phase is to attempt to determine contractor capabilities. The off-site storage facility must be of distance to have the least probability of being affected by the same natural disaster as the on-site facility. Selection will be based on past performance and technical capability. A determination will be made once all information is reviewed for the type of Small Business set-aside concern. However; if the government receives inadequate responses from Small Business concerns, the government will use all information obtained from this sources sought request to determine what type, if any, set-aside to utilize. To be eligible for award, the contractor must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website http://www.ccr.gov. In addition, please include any information if you presently offer this system on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. Any questions regarding this notice should be directed to Nonya Trower, at (520) 209-3140 or by email to: nonya.trower@va.gov. Please respond no later than close of business 20 May 2010.
