- Description
- This acquisition will provide subsystems, replacement subsystems and parts, both consumable and repairable, repair of repairables, upgrade parts for the Scan Eagle Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) family, as well as incidental services for the repair of repairables, installation of the replacement parts, and assistance with developmental flight testing. The Scan Eagle UAS family consists of the Insite, Integrator and Night Eagle, with each using the same ground subsystems. The UAS subsystems consist of the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV), Ground Control Station (GCS), Forward Ground Control System (FGCS), Skyhook retrieval system and SuperWedge pneumatic launcher. This contract is anticipated to be a noncompetitive award to Insitu, Inc., because this UAS family was developed exclusively at private expense and this company has a patent on these UASs and their subsystems. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered by the agency. The 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded after a request for proposal solicitation. It is anticipated that it will be awarded on or about 1 November 2010. Destination will be to China Lake, CA and Bingen, WA, as specified in individual delivery orders. The quantity will be specified in individual delivery orders up to the IDIQ maximum.
