Description
This will be a COMPETITIVE 8(a) procurement. Only Louisiana 8(a) firms serviced by the Louisiana SBA District office or only those 8(a) participants with bona fide places of business within the established geographic boundary are eligible to submit proposals. If there is a question concerning firm eligibility or bona fide place of business rule, contact SBA LA District Officer 504-589-6690. This notice is released to announce a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District, New Orleans, Hurricane Protection Office (HPO) requirement for the following The project work at Elmwood Pump Station 1 & 2 collocated includes, but not limited to, raising trash screen motors, evaporative coolers, and diesel engine cooled radiators; providing metal roof retrofit system over existing roof, hurricane doors, metal window screens, automation of existing dampers, missile barrier protection for ventilation fans, house power generator set, fuel storage tank and foundation, piling, fuel filtration system for fuel storage tanks, weather protection for indoor switch gear / motor control centers, missile barrier protection for radiators, protection for exterior safe house conduits; providing non-potable water well enclosure and foundation; miscellaneous civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work, and some demolition work. The project work at Cousins Pump Stations 1, 2 & 3 includes, but not limited to, raising trash screen motors; relocating and protecting existing radiators; replacing existing roof with metal standing seam roof system, and existing wall panels with pre-insulated metal wall panels; replacing non-potable water well enclosure; retrofit existing metal building structure; providing hurricane doors, metal window screens, hurricane louvers, missile barrier protection for ventilation fans, house power generator sets and foundation, precast prestressed concrete piling, fuel filtration system for fuel storage tanks, weather protection for indoor switch gear / motor control centers, missile barrier protection for radiators, protection for exterior safe house conduits; miscellaneous civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work, and some demolition work. This solicitation is set aside 100% for 8(a) concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable is 237110 and the Size Standard for Small Business is $33.5M. The estimated range of construction is between $1M and $5M. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for a firm-fixed price contract to be competed under solicitation W912P8-10-B-0068. The IFB and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders, library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. NOTE: Offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration. The CCR is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004), therefore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
