Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS INFORMATION IS STILL DUE ON 14 MAY 2010. PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSISThis is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for P516, Ship Repair Pier Replacement, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia.This contract will construct a new ship repair pier and replace the existing bulkhead with a new low-level relieving platform with mechanical and electrical shore-tie stations at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, (NNSY) Portsmouth, Virginia. The project includes demolition of existing Piers 4 and 5, Berth 25, Berth 31, and Buildings 225, 250, 830, 1486 and 1570 to construct a new ship repair pier that is 1225 feet in length and 230 feet width. The new pier will also include a restroom, salt water pump station building, heavy weather mooring and portal crane rail track and associated site preparation consisting of dredging existing Pier 3 to Pier 6. The utility system will include mechanical and electrical systems. The proposed DRAFT drawings and specifications for this project are available for review and comment from interested parties. Due to the file size, drawings and specifications are not available on NECO. A Compact Disk (CD) is available and can be picked up at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid Atlantic Hampton Roads IPT 9324 Virginia Avenue, Building Z 140, 1st Floor, Room 117, Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia or contact the POC to arrange delivery. 0001 Base Price - price for the entire work, complete in accordance with the requirements of the RFP including drawings and specifications. 0002, Option 1 - price for providing all work in connection with the demolition of exist Pier 5, dredging from south side of new Pier 5 south towards Pier 6, construction along Hitchcock Street from STA 2+75.50 - STA 4+76.50 in accordance with the drawings and specifications. 0003, Option 2 - price for providing all work in connection with the extension of Berth 37 an additional one hundred sixty-eight (168) feet from Station 1+07.50 to Station 2+75.5 in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The completion time for this contract is 1,500 calendar days after award. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 237990 and the annual size standard is $33.5M. This procurement is unrestricted. The total estimated cost for this project is between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 21 May 2010.
