- Description
- Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to enter into a sole-source contract with KBA-Giori for the upgrade and installation of Note-a-Save III Intaglio Inspection Equipment with Infrared Sensing. The patented technology will be installed on eight (8) I-10 Intaglio Currency Presses and interface with the BEP Flowsys Data Collection System. The BEP will also option 4 additional systems bringing the potential total to twelve systems. The presses are located in Washington, DC and Fort Worth, TX. Interested capable parties should notify the BEP no later than May 24, 2010. THIS SYNOPSIS IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT INTENDED TO REQUEST OFFERS FROM OFFERORS. SEE THE ATTACHED JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED.
