Description
Invasive exotic plants are growing throughout the Moccasin Bend Archeological District and are negatively impacting the native plants that are growing there. This project calls for the removal and chemical treatment of exotic plants at this site. The contractor must identify and treat non-native exotic plants to eradicate these plants. The work is to be performed at Moccasin Bend for the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. The estimated cost range for this work is $10,000.00 - $40,000.00. The anticipated start date for this work s by September 1, 2010. The NAICS code for this work is 115310. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. A solicitation will be issued in or around fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this notice. Interested parties should forward an email expressing interest to Laurie Chestnut, Contracting Officer at laurie_chestnut@nps.gov. The proposal due date will be on or about June 29, 2010. All inquiries or questions concerning this procurement must be submitted to the Contracting Officer in writing not later than June 15, 2010. The government intends to award to the lowest priced technically acceptable, responsible, responsive offeror. The government intends to award without discussion. Thus, contractors should submit their best price initially. The government does reserve the right to open discussions.
