Description
Amendment 1 is now posted at www.fedconnect.net.CLOVER MTN PONDEROSA RESTORATION STEWARDSHIP PROJECTThe purpose of this contract is to restore ponderosa pine stands within the Clover Mountains to improve forest health and increase fire resiliency within the stand. The objectives are: 1) remove singleleaf pinyon pine and Utah juniper trees that are within 50' of a live ponderosa pine tree, 2) to reduce fuel loading to levels that would significantly slow or prevent wildfire from spreading through the existing vegetation, and 3) improve ecological condition of existing understory species.SOUTH SNAKE RANGE ASPEN RESTORATION STEWARDSHIP PROJECTThe purpose of this contract is to restore aspen stand health and long term viability within the South Snake Range. The objectives are: 1) remove conifers growing within 50' of quaking aspen stems (alive or dead), and 2) reduce canopy cover and fuel loading to facilitate natural regeneration of the aspen clone.This project is located in Ely District Office in Ely, Nevada. Bonds are required: Performance security for 20% of the value of the total price. Paper copies are no longer available. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract. The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the Recovery Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Act funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public. Treasury Accounting Symbol for this project is TAS::14 1108::TAS
