- ************ALL CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING THIS SYNOPSIS SHOULD BE SENT IN WRITING TOJUDY DRABKIN ONLY AT Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov or FAX:256-544-6560***********NASA/MSFC has a requirement for a pair of wireless finger tracking gloves and the driversnecessary to integrate the capability into the existing MSFC hardware and softwaresolution.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Motion Analysis Corporation on a sole sourcebasis.MSFC has already purchased and integrated a system from Motion Analysis Corporation totrack human motion and interface the data into established MSFC processes, computersystems and software. To maintain system compatibility and enhance the systemscapability, Motion Analysis Corporation is the only vendor qualified to augment thecapability by including the ability to track human finger motion.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Judy Drabkin at Judith.R.Drabkin@nasa.gov or Fax 256-544-6560 nolater than 4:30 p.m. CT on May 19, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will beevaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
