Description
Revised Project Description ***** 5/11/10 - Made changes to the bridge description. ***** AK PFH 40(3), Jenny Creek Bridge, Tongass National Forest, Wrangle-Petersburg Borough, Alaska. This project consists of.34 Miles of bridge abutments, bridge structure installation, approach roads, MSE walls and other small items of work. See "Description of Work" for additional details. The proposed project includes construction of a Single -span, 112 -foot long Bulb-T Prestress Concrete girder bridge. Abutments are founded on Concrete spread footings on MSE wall abutments. The work includes demolition of the existing Timber Girder Bridge upon completion of the new structure, with removal of a majority of the timber tie-back abutments. See attached call for HUBZone interest Work shall be completed by August 31, 2011. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $3 million and $5 million. This paragraph announces possible financing available to small businesses. The three types of businesses that are eligible to receive a loan through this program are: (1) Firms that have received DBE certification from a state or local transportation agency; (2) Firms that have been certified by the SBA as a Small Business; and (3) Firms that have received a disability rating by the Veteran's Administration and have certified themselves as a SDVOSB. Start-up businesses are not eligible to receive a STLP line of credit and should contact the SBA for information about other possible forms of financial assistance. (NOTE - This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
