- 1. The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington intends to solicit proposals for a contractor to provide a computer technology program consisting of online and onsite courses, youth computer camps, and computer lab support for military and civilian employees, families, and retirees at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. A complete Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Proposals number is W911S8-10-R-0005. 2. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed-price requirements contract. The applicable NAICS code is 611420, Computer Training, and the small business size standard is $7.0 Million. Competition for this requirement will be unrestricted. 3. The anticipated period of performance is a base period from 1 August 2010 through 31 July 2011, plus two one-year option periods. 4. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available for download via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the Fort Lewis Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. The tentative solicitation issue date is 21 May 2010 and the anticipated closing date is 15 May 2010. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. 5. Offers from all capable and responsible sources will be considered. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database http://www.ccr.gov/ and ensure that the applicable NAICS code 611420 is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of bids. 6.
