- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because the agency head has determined that it is not in the public interest to compete this action of a full and open basis (FAR 6.302-7). See posted J&A for further information. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Paul District intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract. This requirement consists of providing Maintenance and Mowing for the USACE Lake Ashtabula Project Office in Valley City, ND. The solicitation number is W912ES-10-T-0026 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 and evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for small business concerns. The associated North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 561720 and the business size standard is less than $16.5 Million. This requirement consists of 1 base year plus 2 options (3) line items: 0001 FY10 Mowing and Maintenance; 2001 FY11 Mowing and Maintenance; 3001 FY12 Mowing and Maintenance. Place of performance will be the USACE Lake Ashtabula Project Office in Valley City, ND. Desired The Period of Performance dates are from 26 Apr 2010 to 15 Sept 2010, 26 Apr 2011 to 15 Sept 2011, and 26 Apr 2012 to 15 Sep 2012. This synopsis/solicitation incorporates one or more clauses and provisions by reference with the same force and effect as if they were stated in full text.
