III 3 Rutgers Plaza New Brunswick, NJ 08901 ATTN: Stephanie Culpepper, Senior Buyer Phone: (732) 932-4375, ext. 2307 Fax: (732) 932-4390 Email: stephcul@rci.rutgers.edu Date for receipt of proposals : Friday, June 11, 2010 by 3pm EST The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate its existing Comprehensive ADA Paratransit Eligibility Course, for paratransit providers on the topic of developing, implementing, and managing and effective ADA paratransit eligibility process. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. NTI’s Comprehensive ADA Paratransit Eligibility two day course will be offered to professional staff of transit agencies who are responsible for developing and implementing complementary paratransit plans and/or developing and implementing ADA paratransit eligibility determination processes and procedures. The Comprehensive ADA Paratransit Eligibility course begins with a review of ADA paratransit criteria and then reviews ADA paratransit eligibility requirements. The two-day session presents more detailed information about alternative eligibility determination processes, with a focus on in-person interview and assessment options. It also addresses "difficult" determination issues and presents options for trip-by-trip eligibility determinations. Requests will be honored if received no later than Monday, May 17, 2010 by 3pm Eastern Time.
