- This is a solicitation announcement for the construction of an office building, warehouse, and truckport. Please reference Invitation for Bid (IFB) 003657 in any correspondence regarding this solicitation. The work consists of, but not limited to the following ; Sitework, concrete footings, concrete foundation walls, steel framed structure, interior architectural woodwork, metal doors and frames, exterior sheet waterproofing, steel metal doors and frames, wood doors, overhead coiling doors, aluminum windows, gypsum board assemblies, ceramic tile acoustical panel ceilings, resilient floor tile, painting, toilet compartments and accessories, loading dock equipment, prefabricated aluminum ramp and stair system, fire alarm system, fire suppression system, mechanical and electrical systems, etc. The Federal Bureau of Investigation will be soliciting bids utilizing 100% Small Business Set-Aside competition. This project is located at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. The estimated cost of construction is over $15,000,000. Bid, Payment, and Performance Bonds are required. The Bidder awarded the resultant contract shall be subject to passing background investigations on its company, subcontractors, and all individuals assigned to these projects. The contractors wishing to receive Bid documents will be required to submit a refundable Bid deposit of $2,000 (certified or cashiers check only) in order to receive the specifications and drawings for the project. The cashiers check must be made payable to the FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION. There is a two (2) set limit for refundable deposits. Any additional sets shall be at an amount of $2,500, which includes a $2,000.00 refundable cashiers check and a $500.00 Non-refundable cashiers check. Anyone requesting these documents are required to send in a letter of request and cashiers/certified check with complete company address, telephone number and point of contact to the address below, attention: Richard I. A pre-bid conference and site investigation has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 10:30 am PARTICIPANTS MUST SUBMIT THEIR REQUEST with the following information: Company name, Individual(s) full name, place of birth, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, state of issuance and provide a point of contact telephone number. Attendance is limited to a maximum of five (5) individuals per firm. Individuals attending shall be U.S. Citizens. If naturalized, must furnish an alien registration number.
