- Description
- This project is for the installation of features that storm proofs roads so that they may be considered decommissioned or considered in storage. The work includes but is not limited to the removal and disposal of culvert pipes, furnishing and placing riprap, reconditioning of roadway surface, furnishing and placing aggregate base, furnishing and installing culvert pipe, and installing road closure devices. This requirement is for construction services and the awarded contract will be subject to Davis-Bacon requirements. Estimated start work date is July 19, 2010 and contract time is 90 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The project is located on the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest in Jackson County Oregon. This is a sealed bid and public bid opening. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror with the lowest overall price. Price Range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about May 20, 2010. A bid bond of 20 percent is required. A payment bond (100 percent) and a performance bond (100 percent) will be required 10 calendar days after contract award. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications (Section K in Solicitations) in the ORCA system.
