- Description
- This project is for the installation and construction of road drainage features to armor the forest roads against damage from heavy rainfall. The project has a base item and one option item. The work includes but is not limited to installation of grade outs, riprap, aggregate base, culvert pipe and a cattle guard. Roadway reconditioning is also included in the base item. The option item is for asphalt paving. This requirement is for construction services and the awarded contract will be subject to Davis-Bacon requirements. Estimated start work date is July 15, 2010 and contract time is 120 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The project is located on the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest in Jackson County. This is a sealed bid and public bid opening. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror with the lowest overall price. Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about May 20, 2010. A bid bond of 20 percent is required. A payment bond (100 percent) and a performance bond (100 percent) will be required 10 calendar days after contract award. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
