- This is a Sources Sought Notice for HUBZone firms only to perform Laundry Services for the 375th Medical Group (MDG) Clinic at Scott AFB IL This is not a request for proposal. There will not be a solicitation issued at this time. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Any solicitation issued as a result of this notice will be posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), online at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/contractors.aspx to be eligible for any subsequent contract award. The government is considering a 5-year contract for this service that may include a basic period and 4 one year option periods. The applicable NAICS code is 812320, Dry-cleaning and Laundry Services(except Coin-Operated). This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there are a sufficient number of certified HUBZone firms capable of performing the requirement to warrant a solicitation set-aside. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information: 1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address, and DUNS number; 2) A statement that you are interested in competing for this requirement if it is set aside for HUBZone; 3) that you are a SBA certified HUBZone; and 4) Identify any past or current contracts for providing laundry and dry cleaning services within the last three years. Description: Non-Personal Services: 375th Medical Group (MDG) Clinic Linen Laundry Service. The following is a brief summary of the primary duties of the Linen Laundry Services, This list is not all inclusive: The contractor shall provide all plant facilities, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform linen laundry pickup and delivery services to the 375th Medical Group (MDG) Clinic Scott Air Force Base, IL. A full range of hospital textiles will be processed during the period totaling an estimated 6,250 pounds per month. An estimated 100 pounds per month of blue flight blankets are to be protectively shrink-wrapped after cleaning. The contractor shall perform these services in accordance with all generally accepted industry standards and all state and federal requirements for health care facility linen. The contractor shall repair, at its expense, all damages to individual garments that occur while in the custody of the contractor. Any item with a rip or tear in excess of four inches long is considered damaged beyond repair and shall be returned marked to the 375th MDG. The contractor is not responsible for these items. The contractor shall provide impermeable carts to segregate, store and transport clean and soiled 375th MDG linens. Soiled items and clean items shall not be transported concurrently in the same vehicle. Separate containers shall be used for transporting clean and soiled linen. Each cart shall be fully closed and covered during transportation to prevent contamination. All clean items are to be protected from contamination and soiling during transit. Delivery and pickup is on Tuesday and Friday.
