- The work includes, but is not limited to, minor demolition; cutting and patching; removal, cleaning, and documenting lead dust residue from former firing range room and equipment; removal and replacement of hydronic boiler; removal and replacement of air-cooled condensing units and associated refrigerant piping and insulation; removal and replacement of air handling units and associated insulated ductwork; removal and replacement of exhaust fans; cleaning of existing ductwork and grilles scheduled to remain in service; removal of gas-fired water heaters and replacement with electric water heaters; installation of new piping to variable air volume (VAV) box reheat coils and unit heaters; removal of pneumatic controls and replacement with electric actuated controls using a direct digital control (DDC) system; installation of miscellaneous heating water system components, i.e., pumps, filters, air separators, etc.; testing, adjusting, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment; built-up roof repairs from penetrations for new rooftop HVAC units; removal and replacement of gypsum and suspended ceiling tile and grid, removal and replacement of wall base, painting, and removal and replacement of an exterior flagpole and concrete base; removal and replacement of interior and exterior lighting fixtures, and miscellaneous mechanical and electrical work. Place of Performance: South Bend, IN Completion: 240 Calendar Days after Notice to Proceed The estimated range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $14.0 Million. It is anticipated that the plans and specifications for this procurement will be available on www.fbo.gov on or about May 26, 2010.
