- NOTICE: All Technical Questions concerning this requirement should be directed to Mr. Kirk Gerdes at 304-285-4342, email kirk.gerdes@netl.doe.gov. It is the National Energy Technical Laboratory's (NETL) intent to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to WOODWARD GOVERNOR COMPANY. This is considered a sole source to Woodward Governor company due to the many years of exposure to Woodward software and code, the Hyper researchers have developed a high level of expertise and competency in their programming language, which have resulted in effective and expedient ways of conducting research. Therefore, the replacement of the current control structure with any other control platform would, not only increase monetary costs greatly, but decelerate the research process substantially. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a request for quotation or proposal. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Challenges must demonstrate the capability to provide all of the above listed specifications for the item(s) being requested (software licenses and accompany support service). If no challenges to acquire this (these) item(s) are received by 5:30 PM ET on May 19, 2010. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed award based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to kathleen.nedzesky@netl.doe.gov no later than the time and date noted above.
