Description
RFP AG-4419-S-10-0694 ATT C Specifications ATT H - BID ITEM#5 ATT F - BID ITEM#3 ATT G - BID ITEM#4 ATT D - BID ITEM#1 ATT E - BID ITEM#2 RECOVERY – UNDERSTORY MECHANICAL FUELS REDUCTION ( SUPERIOR NATIONAL FOREST) RECOVERY - This project is funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this project is to reduce fire risk in wildland-urban interface areas. Fire suppression has allowed shade tolerant species such as balsam fir to establish and proliferate in the understory of upland forest types. Decades of fire exclusion has resulted in a change in species composition, higher fuel loadings, an increase in ladder fuels, and a severe departure in the frequency and intensity of fires that would have occurred here historically. The work to be performed will reduce the understory fuel hazards of designated stands. Implementation of these treatments would substantially reduce the risk of wildfires threatening adjacent values at risk. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located in the Cook and Lake Counties of Minnesota. Various locations within the SUPERIOR NATIONAL FOREST (See INDEX MAPS) PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SITE VISIT INFORMATION: Contract time will be 730 days (2 years) from Notice to Proceed. Post-Award Conference – SEE RFP for details ESTIMATE COST RANGE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. SET-ASIDE: THIS PROCUREMENT IS HEREBY DETERMINED FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION “UNRESTRICTED”. The NAICS Code is 115310. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and must have completed a profile in the Online Representations and Certifications Database (OCRA) prior to an award of a contract. Registration at CCR can be done at the following Website: http://www.ccr.gov/ Registration at OCRA can be done at the following Website: https://orca.bpn.gov/ Need a registration in CCR and have a MPIN Number before you can register in OCRA
