- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is334417, Size Standard 500 employees. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2KBAD0091A02 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-40 effective 23 March 2010. The Government intends to award one (1) contract line item number: CLIN 0001 - FK12 Cleaver - Angled Fiber Optic Cleaver DESCRIPTION: Cleaves bare fibers of 125 µm diameter when angle cleaves are required. It is adjustable between 0 to 15º with excellent repeatability of +/- 1º @ 8º. Angled cleaves yield low return losses of -60dB or less. SPECIFICATION: Battery: 9V alkaline; Battery Life: >10,000 cleaves; Blade Type: Replaceable; Blade Life: >20,000 cleaves; Weight: 1.1 kg (2.3 lbs); Dimension (mm): 150 mm x 150 mm x 68 mm; Dimension (in.): 6" x 6" x 2.75".
