- The U.S. Coast Guard is setting aside this acquisition for HUBZone Certified Business concern. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Work will be performed in various locations to include: Key West, FL, Miami Beach, FL, Patrick AFB, FL, St. Petersburg, FL, Boston, MA, Pascagoula, MS, Wilmington, NC, Portsmouth, NH, Cape May, NJ, Warrenton, OR, Galveston, TX, Portsmouth, VA, and Port Angeles, WA. Start date will be on or about 16 August 2010 The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for Deck Preservation and Deck Covering Renewals for various USCGC, (WMEC- 210 /270) FOOT A CLASS, MEDIUM ENDURANCE CUTTERS. This acquisition for Deck Preservation will include one base year with four one-year option years. The work will include, but is not limited to: 1. Fantail Deck, Preservation 2. Fantail Deck, Preservation 3. Flight Deck Surfaces Resurface 4. Flight Deck Surfaces Resurface 5. Forecastle Weather Deck Preservation 6. Forecastle Weather Deck Preservation 7. Weather Deck Preservation 8. Weather Deck, Preservation 9. One Step Epoxy Deck Covering, 10. Renew Quarry Tile Deck Covering, 11. Renew Electrical Grade Sheet (Dielectric) Deck Covering, 12. Renew Carpeting Deck Covering, Renew Travel will be paid in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), prescribed by the General Services Administration, for travel in the contiguous United States. All interested HUBZone Certified businesses may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the USCG. The government will award a firm fixed price contract resulting from the RFQ to the responsible quoter whose conformance to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered which will be identified in the RFQ. Anticipated date of award is July 30, 2010. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value Request for Quotes (RFQ), on or about May 7, 2010 with quotes due on or about May 27, 2010 via the Federal BIZOPPS) web page at https://fbo.gov.This requirement will be evaluated using price and past performance as an evaluation factor. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments FEDBIZOPS also contains an option for automatic notification service. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings is available free of charge to contractors upon request not later than ten (10) days from the solicitation issuance. The CDROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc).
