- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 511210 and the Federal Supply Class is 7030. NOTE: A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) WILL BE ISSUED AND POSTED TO NECO & FBO. ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THE RFP AS INSTRUCTED BELOW. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole source basis from Wind River Systems, Inc. 500 Wind River Way, Alameda, CA 94501-1171, a firm fixed price contract for four (4) Wind River VxWorks 3.4 Software License Renewals. Literature searches and vendor interaction revealed that Wind River is the only company that can provide this support. This software is proprietary to Wind River. The required delivery is no later than 25 May 2010, FOB Destination to Dahlgren, VA. Award is to be made under Commercial Contract Procedures (FAR 13.5) by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, 17632 Dahlgren Road Suite 157, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5110 and will be firm fixed price. It is anticipated that formal solicitation will be posted on 7 May 2010 and ending time for receipt of offers is 17 May 2010 at 12:00 PM EST. Offers may be submitted via e-mail in to nicole.a.williams@navy.mil or via facsimile at (540) 653-6810, Attn: CXS13-22. Reference Request for Proposal Number N00178-10-R-3027 on all correspondence. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The anticipated award date is 24 May 2010.
