- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDERRECOVERY ACT - In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Pub.L. 111-5, The Department of Veterans Affairs at the VA Medical Center, 2501 W 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105 is seeking contractors to submit quotes for the project entitled "Add Electrical generator project". Project Description: Provide all materials, labor, parts, and equipment necessary to complete project 438-10-120 "Add Electrical generator project", in accordance with the plans and specifications.. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The generator set shall be a brand name Caterpillar Generator (600 kW Standby 480V 3 phase Generator Model C18). Standby Duty rated at 600.0 kW, 750.0 kVA, 1800 RPM, 0.8 power factor, 480 V, 3-Phase, 60 hertz, including radiator fan and all parasitic loads. Generator set shall be sized to operate at the specified load at a maximum ambient of 77F (25.0C) and altitude of 500.0 feet (152.4 m). Specific requirements particular to this project are included in the attached specification sections. This procurement will be done IAW FAR part 8.404. The Project duration is expected to be 180 days from the date of receipt of the notice to proceed. Electronic solicitation documents will be made available in electronic format only through the VA website at: https://www.ebuy.gsa.gov. It is recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list on the website before downloading the solicitation. This procurement is unrestricted GSA buy. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov;, http://www.ccr.gov;, and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Request for Quotes will be accepted from only responsible and responsive contractors The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS code 335312-size standard is $33.5 million. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $200,000. Specifications and drawings will be uploaded on or about April 30, 2010. Specs and plans will be available for download from the GSA e-buy site. https://www.ebuy.gsa.gov. Amendments to this solicitation will be posted at the GSA e-buy website. In order to receive e-mail notification of amendments, you must register in GSA e-buy to Receive Notification of amendments. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time of proposal submittal.
